The engine oil of the generator set is likely to deteriorate and turn black
Pay attention to these details, otherwise the diesel generator oil is likely to deteriorate and turn black? The diesel generator oil is as important as the human body's blood. When choosing the oil, users should choose the oil of the appropriate quality grade and viscosity grade according to the local season and temperature. At the same time, they should also pay attention to regular replacement. In the process of using the diesel generator set, they also need to pay attention to the following details, otherwise it is very likely to cause the oil to deteriorate and turn black quickly, affecting the normal operation of the unit.
1. When replacing the diesel generator oil, the diesel generator oil tank and oil channel must be cleaned. If not cleaned, the residue will pollute the new oil and cause the oil to turn black.
2. During the operation of the diesel generator set, pay attention to whether the fuel is completely burned, whether the piston, piston ring and cylinder are worn too much, and the seal is not tight. If the fuel is not completely burned, the exhaust gas entering the lubricating oil tank will quickly turn the lubricating oil black and thick.
3. Lubricating oil that meets the grade requirements must be selected. High-temperature, high-speed, and high-load diesel generator sets should use lubricating oil with good oxidation stability and good additive quality. The use of poor quality oil will quickly deepen the oil color and turn black.
Normal new engine oil is generally yellow in color. If the oil turns black, it means that it contains excessive impurities, such as tiny metal cutting particles, carbon deposits, etc. These impurities are transported to the friction surfaces that need to be lubricated during the operation of the diesel generator, which will cause serious secondary wear to the parts. At this time, the engine oil must be completely replaced. In normal use, if it is the first operation of a new machine or a unit after overhaul, the engine oil generally needs to be replaced after 50 hours of operation, and the oil filter must also be replaced. Under normal circumstances, the engine oil needs to be replaced after the unit has run for 250 hours. Of course, if the diesel generator set is used in a relatively harsh climate environment, the oil replacement cycle should also be advanced accordingly.
Engine oil is essential for the operation of diesel generator sets. Once the engine oil is found to be abnormal, the user needs to replace it in time.
